Margaret Mae Valdez Margaret Mae Valdez, 85, of Albuquerque was welcomed to her eternal home on May 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born December 26, 1939, in Albuquerque, NM. She was the beloved second daughter of Pedro Chavez and Salome Castillo Chavez. Margaret attended St. Mary's Catholic School and graduated from high school there in 1957. After High School, Margaret worked for the grocery chain Piggly Wiggly. Margaret was a very proud stay-at-home mother in raising her children. Margaret's favorite pastime was going to the casino. Margaret is survived by her husband, Tino of 64 years; her children, Gregory Valdez and wife, Donna Montoya and Valerie Valdez and partner, Mike Gilbert; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
