Mary Concepcion Chavez Mary C. Chavez passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025 at age 93. Mary was a resident of Albuquerque for over 70 years. Mary was born to Manuel and Luisa Ulibarri on a large cattle ranch called Chupadero owned by her father. She grew up with her parents and two sisters Anna and Emilia and her brother Greg who all preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Evan and Rose. After graduating from Mountainair High School in 1950,Mary moved with friends to Albuquerque, while corresponding with her future husband, John, while he was in the navy. John and Mary were married in 1954. From that time forward, Mary devoted herself to be the best wife and mother to four children. Mary enjoyed gardening, cooking, travel, and long walks with friends. But most important to her was her family and her strong Catholic faith. She is survived by her husband, John and their children and spouses Angela and Ray Beauchamp, Helen and Mike Garcia, Kathy and Gary Freeman and Steve Chavez and Kim Ferse. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A rosary will be held at Holy Ghost Church 833 Arizona St SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108, on November 25, 2025, 11:00 AM, followed by Mass at 11:30AM. With Interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
