Mary Helen N. Flores August 10, 1941- October 5, 2025 Our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 66 years, Ted Flores, her three sons and two daughters, two daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a rare gem and what we would call a good all-around cowgirl. A real lady who wasn't afraid to roll up her sleeves and work. She was an athlete who played basketball and was an all around sports enthusiast. She broke, trained, rode and showed her own horses. She ran her own business for years. She cooked and liked to eat, host and have fun with friends and family. She gardened and loved her roses. She took great joy in her family and particularly liked taking off traveling and flying with Ted and Teddy. She volunteered and belonged to various organizations. She was kind, selfless and thoughtful and was more than happy to do for others even when she wasn't feeling well. There was no quit in her. We miss her so much, but she's at peace and resting now. Services will be Saturday, October 18th, 2025 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd., NE. Rosary at 9:30am followed by eulogy and mass. Reception following mass in the church hall. The family would like to thank all her caring doctors and nurses on the 3rd floor C wing at Presbyterian Hospital as well as her caring and compassionate hospice team, especially Jessica and Lesli from Presbyterian Hospice. All are truly angels on earth. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in her name to Our Lady of Fatima Church.
