Mary V. Chavez Mary V. Chavez, 99, passed away on June 30, 2025. Mary (Viduarri) was a life-long resident of Carrizozo, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred S. Chavez. She is survived by her sister, Carmen Aguilar (Patrick) of El Paso, TX; her son, Ernest L. Chavez (Natalie) of Ft. Collins, CO; daughter, G. Christine Gervais (Mike), of Albuquerque, NM; son, Gabriel R. Chavez (Bernadette) of Dallas, TX; and son, John S. Chavez (Leslie) of Albuquerque, NM; eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Four step grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren and one great great step grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Rita Catholic Church, Carrizozo, NM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Rita Catholic Church, Carrizozo, NM.
