Melvin L. Bork Melvin L. Bork, 91, passed away on February 26, 2025. He is survived by one sister, and three brothers. He was married to his late wife, Grace, for 53 years, losing her in 2009. Mel made his home in Albuquerque for 47 years, following his retirement from the Air Force where he served 27 years. Mel was active in the community, participating in Friendship Force International, Council for International Visitors, KNME TV, Habitat for Humanity, Senior Olympics and many more. Mel loved to travel, visiting 54 countries and 22 islands, spreading his joy and good spirits around the globe. A service for Melvin will be held on April 17, 2025, at 2:30 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, where he will rest with his wife Grace.
