Nancy Lee Jones Nancy Lee Jones, 82, passed away unexpectedly, November 6, 2025. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by daughters, Amy Schum and Holly Lovato; son-in-law, Matt Lovato; sister, Jo Austin; grandchildren, Sabrina Schum and Noah Lovato; niece, Laura Cross; and nephews, Scott Austin and Phillip Villella. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Eddie Jones and her son, Brian. She received her degree in University Studies from the University of New Mexico then worked for the University of New Mexico until her retirement. Nancy was an active, determined woman who worked out three days a week with her beloved personal trainer, Cam, and attended her senior workout class at the gym, staying strong and vibrant until the time of her passing. She was a true example of living life to the fullest, finding joy in dining out and traveling with her daughter and family, attending her grandsons soccer games, getting her nails done, daily conversations with her sister Jo and connecting with her friends. She enjoyed caring for her home, yard and beloved turtle, as well as keeping a watchful eye on her neighborhood and visiting with the neighbors. Her smile and laugh were contagious and made anyone she met feel at ease. Nancy had an inner strength that she carried throughout her life. Her loving heart, cheerful personality and generosity will be missed by all who knew her. Her memorial service will be held Monday, December 29th, 2025, 10:00 am at Daniels Family Funeral Services on Wyoming NE.
