Norma Jean Hamilton (1953-2024) Norma Jean Hamilton, 70, passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2024, in the home she shared with her daughter in Newark, Delaware. Born in 1953 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she was the daughter of Billie Murray and Leonard Hamilton. Norma Jean attended East High School and later earned her GED. She dedicated many years of service at the General Electric Factory before venturing into entrepreneurship with her business, The Walter Redd House, where she worked as a home healthcare nurse. Norma Jean was predeceased by her father Leonard Hamilton, her husband Cleophus Young, her sister Belinda P. Hamilton, and her grandson Jeremy Peterson. She is survived by her mother, Billie Murray; siblings, Alexis Hamilton, Marvin Watson, and Cathy Talley; her children, Evora Taylor and Bayard Taylor Jr.; grandchildren, Chanel Milton, Tatiana Chauncy, Bayard Webb, Zhante Epperson, Christopher Epperson, Endia Epperson, Isiah Webb, and Shalome Webb; along with numerous nieces and nephews who adored her. A service is scheduled for May 17, 2025, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, beginning at 11:00 AM. Norma Jean's kindness and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
