Raymond Corona Raymond Corona passed away peacefully at his home on September 10, 2025 after a brief illness. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 24, 1947 to Ramon and Crucita Corona. He graduated from St. Mary's High School and received his Masters Degree in counseling from the University of New Mexico. He then went on to have a rewarding career as a counselor at Central New Mexico Community College where he inspired and guided students to their chosen careers. He was admired and respected by his colleagues and students during his career. Raymond was a very special person to his family. Through the family's hard times he was our rock and his loss is immeasurable. He had a huge heart that was filled with love, kindness and generosity. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and loved movies, music, and above all loved to read. If you ever walked in on him he would have been reading a good book. We were lucky to have him in our lives. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Herman, Eddie, and Michael, sister Patricia Fisk, and nephew Jacob. He is survived by his sister Tommie and husband Bill, sister Antoinette, brother Leonard and brother-in-law Wesley Fisk, as well as several nieces and nephews. To honor Raymond, read a book, go watch a good movie, listen to your favorite music and have a good laugh. Rest in peace and love, wonderful brother. May your journey be light and peaceful. You will be sorely missed every day. At his request there will be no formal service. Remembrances can be left at Directfuneralservicesabq.com.
