Rita Schlosser With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Rita Schlosser, age 95. Our beloved matriarch peacefully passed away September 18, 2025. Born March 5, 1930, in La Mesa, NM. Rita's unwavering faith guided her daily life. Rita instilled her strong values and religious beliefs in her family. Raising a family, her devotion to Christ and a trailblazing career in accounting were the central points of her life. Rita was preceded in death by her beloved son, Robert (Bob) Schlosser; her parents, Lakha Singh and Paula Garcia Singh; brothers, Margarito, Lucas, Joe; and sisters, Isidra, Vicenta, Antonia, and Edna. Rita is survived by her 5 children, Charlie, Pauline, James, Paul, and Patsy, as well as 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Tomasa, Teresa, and Catalina, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be at FRENCH-Lomas on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 5:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 20, 2025 at The Basilica de San Albino 2070 Calle de Santiago in Mesilla, NM.
