Rosa Wendell Rosa Wendell, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, with family by her side. Rosa brought joy, strength, and compassion to everyone around her. She was a loving mother and grandmother whose vibrant smile, adventurous spirit, and kindness touched many lives. Rosa was a successful entrepreneur who built Pop 'n' Taco into a celebrated local restaurant chain with three locations on Central Avenue. Alongside her business endeavors, she cherished lifelong learning, and found joy in dancing, traveling, gardening, and sharing traditions through her cooking. Above all, she cared deeply for others and believed in lifting people up. Rosa leaves behind a legacy of love through her daughter Jackie and son-in-law David, their four children, and through her son Martin and daughter Lela. Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Wendell Sr. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Christ the Ray of Hope Lutheran Church, 7001 San Antonio Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM. A reception will follow to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, please remember to treat others with kindness, as Rosa did.
