Scott H. Carpenter Scott H. Carpenter, born February 15,1939 peacefully passed away July 31st, 2025, surrounded by family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Scott was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved hiking. He enjoyed playing cards with Carri. He also enjoyed coffee and playing pool with his many friends. Scott is proceeded in death by his beloved son Thomas Carpenter. He is survived by Carri Carpenter, daughter Kathy Carpenter, son Ken Carpenter and wife Amy. He is survived by grandchildren Ariann, Robbie, Dakota, Dustin, Andy, Theresa, Aaron, Austin, Evan, seven great-grandchildren and niece Teri Wickersham. The family is grateful for the many people who helped care for Scott most notably Isaac Holliday, Peggy Holliday and UNM cancer center, especially Dr. Maestas and team. In lieu of flowers please share a smile, a laugh and enjoy the outdoors like Scott would.
