Stanley Peter Hidalgo Stanley Peter Hidalgo, died April 30, 2025 in Truth or Consequences, NM. Born on June 8, 1943 in Port Arthur, Texas. Pete graduated from Paris American High School, University of Texas (BA), and University of Arkansas (MBA). Serving in the Air Force from 1965 to 1972, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. Pete was appointed as State Investment Officer and worked under governors Apodaca, Anaya, and Carruthers before joining the private sector. A champion golfer, he had a lifelong love for the game. Pete is survived by his wife, Kyra, children: Natalie, Michael, and Darcey, sister, Ann, grandchildren: Erik, Meredith, Evan, Isabella, Anya, William, and James, and great grandchild, Luke. Memorial service at Santa Fe National Cemetery on May 27, 2025.
