Tony Sawtell With heartbreaking sadness, the family of Tony Sawtell announces his passing. Tony was an attorney in Santa Fe for almost 50 years with the firms of Catron, Catron and Sawtell and later with Sawtell, Wirth, and Biedscheid. He was a graduate of Stanford and the University of New Mexico School of Law. He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Sarah; daughter Katherine and her husband Ed; son Andrew and his wife Kyla; the apple of his eye granddaughter, Ava Jean; brother Peter and his wife Allyson and their son Geoff; brother-in-law Jim and wife Janice and their children Meredith and Charlie; cousins Steve and Julia Sawtell and Katie Del Conte. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Gloria Sawtell; grandparents Bill and Helen Sawtell and Waldron and Grace Cassidy; and in-laws Dr. Charles and Jean Ashby. A memorial service to remember Tony will be at the United Church of Santa Fe at 1804 Arroyo Chamiso in Santa Fe on August 29, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Talitha Arnold officiating.
