Velda Yvonne Davis (Chubb) Velda Yvonne (Chubb) Davis, born October 5, 1934, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 26, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Davis of Moriarty; her mother, Juanita Jayne (Hovey) Sullivan; and father, Frederick William Chubb; and sisters, Mary (Chubb) Mitchell and Freda (Chubb) Folsom; and two grandchildren, Stephen and Daniel Davis. She is survived by sons, Ronald W. Davis and Dennis C. (wife Sarah Davis); and daughter, Donna Carol (Davis) Romero (husband Lorenzo Romero) and seven grandchildren. Velda was an avid puzzler, crafter and collector. She loved her home state of Kansas, sunflowers, kitties, babies, rainy days and her friends. She was a generous gift giver and reader. She loved her church and her church family, and she trusted the Lord to give her the gift of peace, found only in Jesus Christ. She will be missed by those who knew her and loved her. Services will be held at Trinity at the Marketplace on May 9th, 2025 at 11am 2520 Chama St. NE in Albuquerque.
