Victoria Ann Kuster Victoria Ann Kuster (nee Yarger), 82, of Albuquerque, died in her home on August 6, 2025. Family and friends gathered with her in her final days, during which she communicated how blessed she felt by the gift of her long and fulfilling life. Vicky was born in Columbia, SC, on October 20, 1942, to Clara and Lenord Yarger. Their family moved to NY and eventually Rapid City, SD. Vicky attended Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, where she graduated with a BA in English and a music minor. She met Donald Kuster at Macalester, whom she married June 20, 1965. They raised two children. Vicky taught high school English literature for several years and then piano from her home. Upon retirement in 2006, Vicky and Don moved to Albuquerque. Music and spirituality were pillars of Vicky's life. She and Don were mainstays of the Presbyterian Church of the Apostles community in Burnsville, MN. Vicky was also active in the League of Women Voters. Participating in the church choir, as well as local choral groups, was one of her great joys, both in MN and after moving to NM. Vicky is survived by her brother Terry Yarger, her children Neil Kuster (Min) and Laura Kuster (coparent Ian Paul), and her grandchildren: Owen and Annabelle Kuster, and Anson and Lilia Paul. Public services to be arranged. Donations can be made to Ghost Ranch Conference Center, the New Mexico Peace Choir, and the Nature Conservancy.
