Former President Donald Trump held a campaign rally on Thursday afternoon in Albuquerque for his third run at the White House.
The rally was held at a private hangar owned by CSI Aviation that neighbors Albuquerque International Sunport. The visit marked Trump's fourth visit to the Albuquerque area in recent years.
Cheers erupted as Trump's plane touched down on the runway before taxiing to where his supporters waited eagerly while "It's a Man's World" by James Brown blared over the speakers.
Republican leaders got the crowd warmed up before Trump's arrival.
"New Mexico is broke, and Trump is going to fix it," state Republican Party Chairman Steve Pearce told attendees before Trump's plane touched down.
Pearce asked rally-goers if they had trouble getting into the venue and blamed Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller for parking issues.
It was the latest dig at state Democratic leaders blamed by Republicans for interfering in the lead-up to the rally — accusing them of blocking the Trump campaign from using Albuquerque Convention Center and, subsequently, parking access to the rally at the hangar.
Republicans Yvette Herrell and Nella Domenici spoke alongside Pearce as they run to unseat Democratic incumbents Rep. Gabe Vasquez and Sen. Martin Heinrich, respectively.
Herrell, whose race against Vasquez is the closer of the two, told attendees, "We're going to put New Mexico values first." In a common refrain, Herrell said she would close the southern border.
"We have to lock elbows and fight against the radical progressives," Domenici said.

Trump's plane touched down just after noon as thousands of hopeful attendees waited in line to get into the rally. Down the street, dozens of protesters held signs and blasted the Trump visit.
One protester, Brent Morris, took advantage of the rally falling on Halloween, wearing an American flag suit, ghoulish mask and a baseball cap with the message, “Make America Ghouls Again.”
Morris, of Albuquerque, said he was there to show the Trump supporters what they will get if they reelect Trump.
