Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is continuing to expand in Albuquerque.

The chicken-finger chain opened its fourth New Mexico restaurant at 1401 Gibson Boulevard SE on Thursday.

Raising Cane's has a simple menu of chicken fingers and sides and has more than 800 restaurants nationwide. The restaurant said in a news release that it is hoping to draw customers from the University of New Mexico, which is about a mile away.

Andrew Esparza is the area leader of restaurants for Raising Cane's.

“We are excited to continue growing and supporting the Albuquerque Community by providing more than 100 new jobs with the opening of our newest Restaurant and creating meaningful partnerships with local schools and not-for-profit organizations throughout this wonderful city,” said Esparaza.

On opening day, the restaurant chain held a raffle and gave 20 customers free Raising Cane's for a year.

The new restaurant’s operating hours are Sunday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Friday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.
