What you need to know for the Gathering of Nations Pow Wow

The Gathering of Nations Pow Wow, the biggest in North America, will take place April 25-27. The event will include singing and dancing competitions, contemporary music and performances, a Native food court, an Indian Market with hundreds of vendors, a horse and rider regalia parade, the Miss Indian World competition and more.

If attending the Gathering of Nations is on your 2024 to-do list, here's what you need to go before you go.

Miss Indian World Traditional Presentations

LOCATION: Kiva Auditorium in the Albuquerque Convention Center, 401 Second NW

TIME: 7 p.m. April 25

Gathering of Nations Powwow

LOCATION: Tingley Coliseum at Expo NM, 300 San Pedro NE

TIME: 10 a.m.-11 p.m. April 26, 27

Grand Entry of Dancers: Noon and 7 p.m. April 26; Noon and 6 p.m. April 27

Horse and Rider Regalia Parade: Around 4 p.m. April 26, 27

Crowning of Miss Indian World: After evening Grand Entry April 27

Tickets

Event tickets can be purchased online or at the gate with cash or credit cards. General admission tickets grant holders access to the traditional dancing and singing inside Tingley Coliseum, Indian Traders Market, Stage 49, roving performances, the Native food court, horse and rider regalia parade and Teepee Village. Everyone ages 2 and up must have a ticket.

Miss Indian World Traditional Presentations — $15

Pow Wow

Single day ticket general admission — $25

Two-day ticket general admission — $45

RV Camping at event, for three nights — $195-$225

Tickets are non-refundable, but if you find yourself unable to go, the ticket can be transferred to another person.


Parking

Miss Indian World Traditional Presentations at the Albuquerque Convention Center

Park at the Convention Center parking garage at Martin Luther King and Broadway NW, overflow parking is at the Civic plaza parking garage at Marquette and Third NW.

These parking garages, managed by the city of Albuquerque, cost $10-$20 per vehicle and do not have in and out privileges.

If you plan to get to the Convention Center via Uber, Lyft, taxi or general drop off, go to the west building.

Expo New Mexico parking

Gate 8 is the main parking lot for the event. All parking lots into the event will only be accessible by right-hand turns.

Gate 1 will be accessible for buses, high-profiles vehicles and those in need of handicap parking.

These parking lots are managed and provided by Expo NM.

Parking costs:

$20 — No ins and outs

$40 — With ins and outs

$60 — Full weekend with ins and outs

If you plan to get to the Expo via Uber, Lyft, taxi or general drop off, go to Gate 4 in the round driveway on San Pedro NE.


Additional information

  • No smoking

  • This is a rain or shine event

  • Pets are not allowed, unless they are service animals

  • No outside food or drinks, except for unopened and sealed plastic bottles and baby formula or food

  • Audio recordings from the dance floor or around the tums is strictly prohibited and will be enforced
