From the Super Bowl to the end of the legislative session, here are five top stories from this week.

1. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime.

2. Cinelease, an entertainment service company that opened in 2022, has announced a $95 million investment in New Mexico. The expansion will include five sound stages and three ancillary buildings. The project will be completed in two phases over five years.

3. The Albuquerque Police Department's Internal Affairs commander, Mark Landavazo, was placed on paid administrative leave as part of an internal probe into a group of former and current DWI-unit officers. Landavazo is the highest-ranking member of APD to be put on leave because of corruption allegations involving the prosecution of DWI cases and focusing on several APD officers and their interaction with staff of a local law firm.

4. The legislative session has wrapped up. Of the 658 bills introduced in the session ending Thursday, 72 pieces of legislation made it to the governor’s desk. Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham so far has signed three bills into law, so another 69 bills are hoping for her approval. Anything she doesn’t sign by March 6 is pocket vetoed. The bills that were signed into law include House Bill 171, a measure to update graduation requirements for the state’s high schoolers and House Bill 141, which increased judicial salaries. Justices of the supreme court's annual salary will be $232,600 beginning July 1. And the third bill to be signed into law is House Bill 1, a feed bill assigning $7,021,900 to pay for the legislative session, covering per diem, mileage and salaries for the legislative members among other expenses.

5. Valentine's Day weddings were held at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court and the Bernalillo County Clerk's Office on Wednesday. This was the first time in three years the Metropolitan Court performed the wedding ceremonies in-person, and 62 couples said, "I do."
