Road conditions have become slick and in some places packed with snow after overnight precipitation rolled into the Albuquerque metro area.

From Belen, all the way through Albuquerque to Bernalillo, the driving conditions are fair, meaning the road may be wet and may become icy as temperatures drop, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation's website.

In Tijeras and Santa Fe, the driving conditions are listed as difficult, roads are snow packed and icy in spots.

Blowing snow in the area can result in reduced visibility, according to the website as of 8 a.m..

The weather also brings the chance for freezing fog, which can also reduce visibility.

NMDOT reminds drivers to reduce speed, use caution and watch for crews clearing roadways.
