Head to the 2025 New Mexico Outdoor Adventures Show during Valentine’s Day weekend for three days of activities, demonstrations, animal call competitions and more.

The event, hosted by the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish, takes place from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at the Manuel Lujan Building at Expo New Mexico.

Calling contests will return this year with the addition of duck calling. The competitions start at noon Saturday with turkey calling, followed by duck calling at 2 p.m. At 1 p.m. Sunday, contestants will give their best elk impersonation.

The show will also feature wildlife demonstrations and presentations, and there will be an archery and pellet-shooting range.

Kids will be able to take part in activities like the Wildlife Crime Scene Investigation, where they can use their skills to track down a poacher on the loose, or the seed ball event where kids can learn to attract pollinators in their backyards.

Across the street in the Creative Arts Building, visitors can watch 500 archers compete in the New Mexico National Archery in Schools Program 3-D State Tournament.

There will also be an archery competition for adults from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday.

Admission is $5 for adults, and free for youth age 17 and younger or those with a valid New Mexico hunting and fishing license.
