They don't want to fight anymore, but they are ready to tour again.

Grammy-winning Alabama Shakes announced their first tour in eight years, with a stop at Albuquerque's Isleta Amphitheater on Aug. 8.

"Last year, Heath (Fogg), Zac (Cockrell), and I started chatting about how much fun it would be to make music together and tour again as Alabama Shakes,” said Brittany Howard, Alabama Shakes vocalist/guitarist, in a news release.

“This band and these songs have been such a source of joy for all of us. It is crazy that it has been 10 years since we released 'Sound and Color' and eight years since we played a show. But, we didn’t want this to entirely be a look back. We wanted it to be as much about the future as the past. So we have a bunch of new music that will be released soon. We just can’t wait to experience that ‘feeling’ when we start playing those first few notes of ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’ or ‘Gimme All Your Love.’”

Alabama Shakes played New Mexico in 2016 at Taos' Kit Carson Park. The concert came on the heels of the band's wins for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for "Don't Wanna Fight" and Best Alternative Music Album for "Sound & Color" at the 58th Grammy Awards.

Opening for Alabama Shakes in Albuquerque will be Shannon & The Clams, an Oakland, California-based R&B outfit.

General ticket sales for the Isleta show will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at alabamashakes.com.
