Bookworks will host two author events this week.
At 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, Ava Dellaira will read from and sign copies of “Exposure: A Novel.” It is billed as a multi-perspective story filled with humanity and empathy.

In 2004 the character Juliette Marker, a white college freshman, and Noah King, a Black high school senior, forge a connection. They go home together after a night out. Twelve years later, Noah has made it in Hollywood and he and his wife just had a baby. Meanwhile, Juliette’s best friend Annie is back in LA and makes a startling discovery about Juliette that will threaten to blow up Noah’s life.
Dellaira grew up in Albuquerque. She lives in Altadena, California.
At 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, John Patrick Green will chat about “Class Action,” the newest graphic novel in his “InvestiGators” series for young readers. In this installment, alligator detectives Mango and Brash go underground as average middle school students. Is it coincidental that the school happens to be the same one that Agent Mango graduated from? Will Agent Brash pass home economics?

At 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, Albuquerque author-poet David Meischen will be in conversation with Tina Carlson about Meischen’s recent short story collection “Nopalito, Texas.”

AUTHOR IN SANTA FE AND ALBUQUERQUE
Joe Boyd, an author, record producer and film producer, will discuss his new book “And the Roots of Rhythm Remain: A Journey Through Global Music” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Collected Works, 202 Galisteo St., Santa Fe; and at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Bookworks, 4022 Rio Grande Blvd. NW, Albuquerque. Among the artists Boyd has produced are R.E.M., Pink Floyd and Richard Thompson.

Santa Fe poet Carol Moldaw will read from and sign her new collection “Go Figure” at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22. Moldaw is a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship, a Pushcart Prize and a Lannan Foundation Residency Fellowship
And at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, Nicholas Meyer will converse with Bob Wallace about Meyer’s new book “Sherlock Holmes and the Telegram from Hell.”

Mary Dezember will read from and signs copies of her historical novel “Wild Conviction” and her poetry collection “Earth-Marked Like You” from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22.
RJ The Story Guy (RJ Mirabal) will sign copies of the final novel in his young adult fantasy series “Dragon Train Quest” from 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.

Santa Fe native Leslie McElroy will sign her latest novel, “The Expiration Date” from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Barnes & Noble at Coronado Center.
“The Expiration Date” follows Haley Swann, an aspiring screenwriter and personal assistant, who needs a date, any date, to go with her to her best friend’s wedding where her ex-fiance is the best man. There is just one problem, there is no man in sight. The only man that has consistently been in her life for the past three years is her boss, Aiden. And he is not an option.
