Country charm: Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Carly Pearce to headline 2024 Music Fiesta
Country star Carly Pearce will headline the 2024 Music Fiesta on Oct. 12 at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
Country superstar Carly Pearce will headline the 2024 Music Fiesta at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
The Music Fiesta takes place on Saturday, Oct. 12. Seating starts at noon and music at 1 p.m. The ticket price includes entry into the Night Magic Glow and AfterGlow fireworks.
Pearce, who is a Grammy, Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Award winner, will take the stage at 4 p.m. She got her start at a young age, leaving her Kentucky home and high school at age 16 to take a job at Dolly Parton’s amusement park, Dollywood, according to a Balloon Fiesta news release.
Pearce is known for her honest lyrics and timeless musicality with songs like “Truck on Fire” and “The Swinging Country Revenge Song.” The Grand Ole Opry and Kentucky Music Hall of Fame member recently released her critically acclaimed fourth album, “Hummingbird.”
Country music duo LOCASH, made up of Preston Brust and Chris Lucas, will play at 2:30 p.m. LOCASH was dubbed “country music’s iconic feel-good duo” by People magazine, according to the release. The duo, which formed in 2015, has earned eight charting singles, released two successful albums, received 800 million global streams and racked up other accolades.
Local country rockers Kyle Martin & Co., will kick off the Music Fiesta at 1 p.m. Martin grew up in south central New Mexico playing music folks could two-step to, according to the release. His love for rock music mixes into his songs to create a unique subgenre of music he calls “Westrock.”
Tickets for the Music Fiesta go on sale at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1. Tickets are $30 premier lawn, $55-$65 reserved seating, $75 ABQ Box and $499 for the Ultimate Music Fiesta Package.
