Find out when two NM chefs will battle it out on 'Beat Bobby Flay'
It’s a new season of “Beat Bobby Flay.”
Two New Mexico chefs battle it out in the episode titled “Mentor vs. Mentee,” which airs at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 14, on Food Network.
Chef Marc Quiñones from Level 5 in Albuquerque and Chef Bryan Romero from the Santa Claran Hotel in Española will duke it out in the episode.
“Watch me go into a fierce battle against fellow Chef Bryan Romero where the winner earns a chance to compete against Bobby Flay in the finale,” Quiñones wrote. “This was intense and it was an honor to compete against Chef Bryan in New York City. .. We were able to run some miles under the subway before returning to New Mexico.”
Each half-hour episode of “Beat Bobby Flay” begins with two chefs competing to create a dish using an ingredient chosen by Flay.
The winner of that challenge goes to the second round, in which he or she does battle against chef Flay.
The chefs filmed the episode last summer.
