Sew much fun
The Thimbleweeds Outdoor Quilt Show is coming to the Veterans Monument Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27. The event will feature quilts on display, vendors, a food truck and a raffle. The park is located at 950 Pinetree Road SE in Rio Rancho.
Flower powered
ARCA is holding its annual Geranium Sale from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at the La Paloma Greenhouse in Corrales. Bring home a splash of spring color while supporting ARCA’s mission of providing opportunities for individuals with intellectual, developmental and cognitive disabilities. The greenhouse is located at 181 East La Entrada Lane in Corrales.

The Albuquerque Garden Center is hosting its annual Spring Plant Sale from 1-6 p.m. Friday, April 25, and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 26. A variety of plants, including heirloom tomatoes, annuals, herbs and more, will be for sale. The garden center is located 10120 Lomas Blvd. NE.
Muddy fun
The Old San Ysidro Church is getting a touch up with its annual Mudding and Spring Cleaning Day running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26. Volunteers will learn to mix and apply adobe plaster, help spruce up the flower beds and more. The hard work by volunteers will be rewarded with free breakfast and lunch. Celebrate the South Valley with the 2025 South Valley Pride Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 27. Festivities kick off at 11 a.m. with a parade, and fiesta activities will go until 4 p.m. at the Westside Community Center, 1250 Isleta Blvd. SW. The New Mexico Young Actors are bringing Raold Dahl’s “Willy Wonka, Jr.” to stage at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, and Sunday, April 27. Tickets are $14-$12 at artsandculture.cabq.gov. The KiMo Theatre is located at 423 Central Ave. NW.
