Jean Cocteau Cinema hosts red carpet event for 'In the Lost Lands'

George R.R. Martin continues to be a busy man.
The Santa Fe-based author recently took part in a red carpet event for “In the Lost Lands,” at Jean Cocteau Cinema.
Blancpain hosted the event on March 4 for the film, which is based on Martin’s short story.
The story follows as a queen sends the powerful and feared sorceress Gray Alys, played by Milla Jovovich, to the ghostly wilderness of the Lost Lands in search of a magical power, where the sorceress and her guide, the drifter Boyce, played by Dave Bautista, must outwit and outfight man and demon.
In attendance from the film were Martin, director/co-writer/producer Paul W.S. Anderson, Jovovich and co-writer/producer Constantin Werner.
Other notable guests included President North America + Country Manager Prestige Division Swatch Group Inc. Leonardo Laviola, New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, New Mexico Film Commissioner Steve Graham, "Star Trek" writer Melinda Snodgrass and Magnolia Pictures' founder Bill Banowsky.
The film is out in theaters. It is showing at Flix Brewhouse, Cottonwood, Century Rio 24, Icon Cinemas San Mateo, Icon Cinemas Four Hills, AMC 12 and Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe.
