It’s about collaboration.

This is why the National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation teams up with UNM Health for its second annual Día de Salud Health Fair.

According to Aimee Hopkins, NHCC Foundation VP of Marketing and Programs, the free community event aims to provide essential healthcare services, resources, and education to the public, with a focus on addressing the unique health challenges and perspectives within the Hispanic community.

The event will run from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at the NHCC.

“The Día de Salud Health Fair is dedicated to promoting overall health and well-being while addressing the needs of the medically underserved population,” Hopkins said. “Attendees will have access to a wide range of health services and resources, including blood pressure screenings, glucose checks, dental hygiene education, lung screening information, immunizations and chair massages.”

In addition to healthcare services, the event will feature family-friendly activities, entertainment, and food demonstrations, Hopkins said.

The Foundation's mission is to inspire investment and connection to the preservation, promotion, and advancement of all Hispanic people through experiences, art, culture, and humanities.
