The poll results are in: Journal readers voted Albuquerque would most likely be sorted into Slytherin in J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" Universe.

The house won with a 67% majority — which is more than we can say about their Quidditch performance. Second place was Hufflepuff with 21% of the votes, the main character's house, Gryffindor, took third and Ravenclaw brought up the rear with only one vote.

Albuquerque has "High crime, high homelessness, always at the top of the 'Worst' lists," said one respondent voting for Slytherin. Another said, "We are crazy in our own way."

A participant voting for Gryffindor said, "We’re not the brightest, but we’ve got cojones."

People voting for Hufflepuff described Burqueños as, "Forgettable and a little weird" and "Helpful to its residents."

The poll was inspired by a national report from Solitaired.com in which 30 of the most populous cities in the U.S. were sorted into the four houses, representing the personality of each metropolis.

Denver was designated a Slytherin, while both Phoenix and El Paso joined the Hufflepuffs.
