Sandia Peak Tram to close for fall maintenance

Tram-takers will have to find another way to summit Sandia Crest toward the end of October.
From Monday, Oct. 21, through Thursday, Oct. 31, Sandia Tram and Ten3 — a restaurant on the top of the mountain — will be closed for annual fall maintenance, according to the business. The restaurant and the tram will continue regular operations on Nov. 1.
Following the closure, from Nov. 1 through March, the tram will begin offering City Light Flights, a $10 discount on tram tickets between 4 and 8 p.m. Discounts do not apply to children’s tickets.
The discount is not available during the following periods:Nov. 28 to Dec. 1; Dec.23 to 31; and March 8 to March 16.
