University Boulevard is set to reopen this afternoon ahead of the Red Hot Chili Peppers show at Isleta Amphitheater.

University will reopen at 2:30 p.m. so both University Boulevard and Bobby Foster Road will be accessible entrance routes to the show at Isleta Amphitheater, 5601 University Blvd. SE, according to a Live Nation news release. Fans are encouraged to come early to beat the traffic.

The amphitheater's parking lot will open at 2:30 p.m. but fans who planned to arrive at noon will be accommodated, according to the news release. Doors will open at 4 p.m. so fans can shop artist merchandise early, enjoy onsite entertainment, and mingle with fellow fans. The first 2,000 fans at the pre-party will receive a free ticket to select upcoming shows.

"We're excited for another great show tonight with the Red Hot Chili Peppers," Live Nation said.

University Boulevard was closed to traffic on May 28 because of investigations related to a fighter jet crash May 28 near the Albuquerque International Sunport. An Air Force pilot was injured after ejecting from the fighter jet that crashed into a hill.
