Albuquerque Sunport announced its new carpet design in a Twitter post Wednesday morning.

The new carpet is part of the airport's $87 million in renovations, which started in January.

The renovations are estimated to take 24 months from start to finish, according to Leah Black, Sunport's outreach & marketing manager.

The renovations aim to make a "much more easy, breezy traveling experience for everyone," Black said in a phone interview. "We are moving TSA to the top of the escalator so that you can just get through right away … when you get through TSA, there's going to be a giant food hall."
