Vote: Which Harry Potter house would Albuquerque be sorted into?

Published Modified

Many enjoy taking quizzes to find out which one of the four school houses from J. K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" series they would best fit in.

In the books, the Sorting Hat — a wise, magical item used to designate where new students belong at the beginning of each school year — assigns students who are brave, helpful and chivalrous into Gryffindor. Hufflepuffs are known for being hardworking, patient, loyal and fair; while Ravenclaws are chosen for their intelligence, wit, knowledge and forethought. Slytherins have a bad rap because many of the antagonists in the story come from there, but the house seeks students who are ambitious, cunning and resourceful. Students here tend to put a lot of emphasis on birth status.

But what if instead of individuals, whole cities were sorted into the houses? A new report from Solitaired.com placed 30 of the most populous cities in the U.S. into the four houses, representing the personality of each metropolis.

Denver was designated a Slytherin, while both Phoenix and El Paso joined the Hufflepuffs.

Albuquerque was not on the list, but if it were, where would the Sorting Hat place Duke City?

Poll results will be shared next week.
