Albuquerque private school coach accused of sending explicit pictures to student athlete
A Sandia Preparatory School middle school coach has been accused of sexual misconduct.
Treyjan Felipe, 24, was arrested Wednesday and is being charged with criminal sexual communication with a child, criminal solicitation by electronic device and bribery or intimidation of a witness.
Felipe is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center. It is unknown if he has an attorney.
Albuquerque Police Department spokeswoman Franchesca Perdue said APD was alerted by the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System — an app used to report classmates who may be at risk of harming themselves or others — about a student-athlete being sent genitalia pictures by one of the Albuquerque private school’s coaches, later identified as Felipe.
Perdue said the tip also said that Felipe had added the anonymous tipster on Snapchat and sent sexual videos, photos and messages. The tipster advised that Felipe, as a coach, knew the victim was a minor.
Uploaded with the tip was evidence of pictures, videos and messages that Felipe had been sending to the student-athlete, according to police. Detectives confirmed the anonymous tip came from the victim, Perdue said.
