Insufficient evidence led to the dismissal of a murder case for a man accused in a 2021 shooting.
The charges against Rogelio "Romeo" Loera, 41, were dropped without prejudice in June 2024.
Loera had been arrested in July 2023 and charged in the October 2021 homicide.
More recently, Loera is awaiting trial on auto theft and drug charges, among others, in a January 2025 arrest.
He has pleaded not guilty in that case.
