NM Governor tweets she's 'waiting on a thank-you note' from Republican party after concealed carry ban
New Mexico Republican Party Chairman Steve Pearce speaks during a press conference announcing RPNM plan to file a lawsuit against Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s public health order, at the RPNM headquarters in Albuquerque, N.M., on Sept. 12, 2023.
Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham said Thursday afternoon in a post on X, formerly Twitter, she is still "waiting on a thank-you note" from the Republican Party of New Mexico, stating the GOP used her unsuccessful public health order — banning open or concealed carry in public places — as a fundraising opportunity.
I’m still waiting on a thank-you note from@NewMexicoGOP. Way to use my call to action around #gunviolence as a fundraiser instead of using it as an opportunity for immediate action to save New Mexican lives.

The GOP responded by saying, "Thanks for the plug," stating the party's aim to take the governor to court for "violating" her oath of office.
The post also shared a link to a fundraising page for its lawsuit against the governor and Secretary of Health.
Thanks for the plug, @GovMLG.
