OPINION: Speak Up!

The American Revolution was a NO KINGS RALLY — go read the U.S. Constitution. Most of us learn about Constitutional checks and balances in fifth grade! BF

Trump said that those in the NO KINGS marches hate America. Of course! These marchers, unlike the president, served in the military, pay their taxes every year, never paid fines for racial discrimination in their businesses, support the right to free speech and believe in the Constitution. Really hate America! AF

NO KINGS DAY PROTESTS accomplished and changed nothing. If you don’t like living in the U.S. you can leave, or with that much time on your hands to waste, consider doing charity work to actually make our country and yourself worthwhile. KS

Despite incendiary statements by John Block, R-Alamogordo, Speaker Mike Johnson and his minions, the NO KINGS PROTESTS we attended were peaceful and orderly. The only person we saw trying to stir up trouble was a lunatic yelling, “You people killed Charlie Kirk!” and other nonsensical rantings. P.S. Where’s our money? CT

The president of the United States, responding to thousands of peaceful, dignified NO KINGS PROTESTS, posts himself on the internet, wearing a king’s crown, flying over his courageous fellow citizens, dumping a monstrous, obscene load of feces on them. President Trump sent out an AI VIDEO of himself wearing a crown while flying a plane dropping a brown sludge substance on protestors. A not-subtle acknowledgement that he and his administration know exactly what they are doing to the U.S. and the American people. FS

A new low. President Trump has posted an AI-GENERATED VIDEO of him piloting a jet fighter that dumps sewage on his critics. That’s pretty vile. EG

What are Melanie Stansbury and Teresa Leger Fernández doing? I watched them at the front of some ridiculous Democrat “march” on the news. Why are they so proud of keeping the GOVERNMENT SHUT DOWN and hurting so many government workers in the name of “stopping Trump?” Who votes for that? AN

The SHUTDOWN is nearly a month old. Democrats say they just want an opportunity to discuss the budget. This includes our two senators, Luján and Heinrich. But they have voted 12 times against a temporary agreement to keep the government open until the end of November. Their words mean nothing! SS

New Mexico U.S. Sens. Heinrich and Luján need to understand that New Mexico families are being furloughed without pay. Please stand up to Schumer on behalf of your constituency and vote to RESTART THE GOVERNMENT. New Mexico families (and your political careers) are depending on it! EC

The federal government has hit an historic $200 billion BUDGET SURPLUS for the month of September! Trump is also funding our military, and using tariff revenue to continue social food and medical programs, after the Democrats shut down the government. SS

DJT lied the renovations for WHITE HOUSE BALLROOM would not affect the exterior. That the $250 million cost was taken care of by donations. Interestingly, he wants Department of Justice to compensate him $230 million and might donate it to White House renovations. Guess his wealthy donors weren’t so generous. MH

Trump has started demolishing parts of the East Wing to build on his GRAND BALLROOM. They will have to build quickly so that before the end of his term he can invite heads of states around the world to his grand opening. Higher tariffs for those not in attendance. JMR

If I want to simply change my exterior lighting, I must submit a proposal to my HOA for approval. The TRUMP ADMINISTRATION continues to act illegally and unconstitutionally in ways that weaken our democratic institutions, slow down our economy, roll back protections for public health and the environment, and put health care and Social Security benefits at risk for millions of Americans. WS

SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE using faith as a way to govern or vice versa is as hypocritical as it gets! Religion, any denomination, is a great healer, but to exploit religion through government will lead to a downfall in government and/or religion. AS

The DOMINION VOTING MACHINE company has just been bought by a company run by a former GOP election official. What could possibly go wrong? Yeah, there’s no conflict of interest there … JH

I am really tired of missing my bus connection because an ABQ RIDE driver regularly operates ahead of schedule, and when I file a complaint it is quickly “resolved” yet nothing changes and this happens again. BV
