Loyal subscribers and readers, as always, we are grateful for your support, thank you.

As you can see above in bold, we are making our editorial policy more transparent.

We have heard from quite a few of you that you wanted additional interaction in our editing policy process for opinion pieces. In the past, we have followed the national standard practices of most newspapers, which is: We reserve the right to edit any piece submitted to us, without additional notifications to the guest author.

We believe it is part of our mission and duty to fact check everything submitted, as we do with our own work, to obtain the utmost accuracy and neutrality.

However, we also highly value transparency, and in our ongoing efforts to seek and deliver that, we are also modifying our editorial policy to try and give authors one opportunity to review their submissions if we make any substantial changes.

We appreciate your input and want to continue to encourage all of you to send us opinion pieces when you feel the need to share additional perspectives or credible data with the public.

We want to keep on being respectful of all sides of any major issues, and we appreciate your participation, which ultimately helps us do that.
