President Trump is quick to call in the NATIONAL GUARD and Marines to a state and city that didn’t want them. Yet he sat on his behind doing nothing while his followers attacked our Capitol and pardoned them later. This man has no credibility at all accusing anyone of not doing enough. CT

RIOTS across America are a disgrace. Despite the Democrats gaslighting, neither ICE nor Trump started them. ICE is removing the worst-of-the-worst illegal immigrants and doing a good job. The Democrats seem committed to protecting them despite orders of deportation. DPP

President Trump pardoned protesters who violently attacked police officers on Jan. 6, but sent the National Guard and Marines in to stop the protesters in L.A. Gee, could it be because the PROTESTERS IN L.A. disagree with him? JH

Regarding (June 15 Sunday Journal): President Trump hating protesters on page one. Pro-America national military celebrations on page eight. So much for fair and BALANCED NEWS REPORTING. SM

In a 2020 news clip, Donald Trump told George Stephanopoulos, “We have to go by the laws. We can’t move in the NATIONAL GUARD. I can call insurrection but there’s no reason to ever do that. We can’t call in the National Guard unless we’re requested by a governor.” EJG

Regarding “Military parade rolls through DC as ‘No Kings’ protesters decry Trump” (June 15 Sunday Journal): The Associated Press piece on the DC PARADE honoring the Army was disgusting. It was obvious these writers were more interested in covering the protests. Had they actually watched, they would learned the Army’s history, heard inspiring stories from soldiers themselves, and enjoyed patriotic music from several Army bands and other performers. DN

WASTE, fraud and abuse appears to be defined as anything President Donald Trump doesn’t like. It doesn’t matter that it was conceived by the collective wisdom of 535 representatives and senators. It doesn’t seem to apply to cockamamie ego trip birthday parades or golf junkets to Mar-A-Lago at the expense of taxpayers. BB

Every time I see POTUS render a salute, I, as a veteran, feel insulted and angry. He has not earned the privilege of returning a SALUTE, what with bone spurs and all. He should quit disrespecting our military and first responders and leave his hands at his side. BB

Sadly, the current administration is stripping the USNS HARVEY MILK of it’s name. This appears to be in the administration’s attempt to purge all programs, policies, books and social media mentions of references to diversity, equality and inclusion. Perhaps we could rename the ship USNS Intolerance, Bigotry or Prejudice. DD

Mayor Keller perhaps you have forgotten that this is a nation of legal IMMIGRANTS and not one being invaded by 12 million illegal immigrants. It is our taxpayer money which is being used to provide them with benefits at the expense of our citizenry. Following the law is not un-American. ht

Shame on Mayor Keller and the city of Albuquerque. Was on OLD TOWN PLAZA last night for dinner. What an embarrassment. Homeless people laying around the Plaza, filthy sidewalks and most flowers in the planters were dead or dying. Bad impression for tourists. Could be nice area with some TLC. JM

The mayor and city council need to go on a field trip to Carlisle/Indian School/I-40 intersections. They will see sad homeless/panhandlers. We don’t need affordable housing for them, we need DRUG REHAB and mental health facilities. Stop wasting money building the wrong facilities JFS

A shout out and thank you to SHERIFF MICHAEL BROCKETT. The only law enforcement officer in the whole state of New Mexico with some integrity. Knowing he would catch hell from the Democrats, he is doing what’s right protecting his community. The rest of you should be ashamed. SB

Albuquerque taxpayers funded a performing arts center in the ‘80s with a quality-of-life tax, but the money took a detour. Why not let the ROUTE 66 VISITOR CENTER finally take center stage? After all, it’s about time our tax dollars got an encore performance. SR

Since the Sandoval County district attorney is not charging the JV player accused of URINATING IN A WATER JUG this spring at Rio Rancho High School perhaps the state of New Mexico Environment Department or EPA can charge him for improper liquid waste disposal. NG

I am glad we spent the last three decades changing all of our yards to xeriscaping to conserve water, only to have automated CAR WASHES on every other corner. PJ
