Here are the winners of the Journal high school football star of the week awards. The winners received the most votes in the weekly online polls.
Week 1 — Hershul Olloway Jr., so., RB, St. Pius: Olloway blew up the West Mesa defense, carrying it just 12 times, for 243 yards and four touchdowns, three of them over 40 yards.
Week 2 — Blake Spencer, sr., QB, Bloomfield: Spencer completed 19 of 21 passes for 471 yards and five touchdowns in a win over Piedra Vista.
Week 3 — Jett Galles, sr., WR, Albuquerque Academy: Galles caught nine passes for 261 yards and three touchdowns, and he also intercepted two balls on defense in a win over Hope Christian.
Week 4 — Michael Jimenez, jr., OLB, Silver: Jimenez scored three touchdowns (two rushing, one a fumble return), intercepted a pass and recorded 17 tackles in a win over rival Cobre.
Week 5 — Lorenzo Sedillo-Urban, jr., Legacy Academy: The Silverbacks’ signal caller shined bright versus McCurdy, completing 9 of 10 passes for 181 yards and four touchdowns, and he ran for three additional scores.
Week 6 — Frankie Galindo, sr., RB, Artesia: Galindo showed up huge against Lovington, with 142 rushing yards and three touchdowns, and another 65 receiving yards and a score.
Week 7 — Jordan Hatch, jr., QB, Cleveland: Hatch was 11 of 13 for 300 yards and five touchdowns — in just one half of work, in a 50-0 victory of Farmington.
Week 8 — Breylon Williams, sr., WR, Hope Christian: Williams caught seven passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns, rushed for another score, and he also had an interception in triumph over Pojoaque Valley.
Week 9 — Isaiah Carpenter, so., QB, St. Pius: The strong-armed 10th grader threw four touchdown passes in a road win at Chaparral.

Week 10 — Jacob Maldonado, jr., WR, Cleveland: Maldonado caught five passes for 102 yards and three touchdowns in a convincing victory over Volcano Vista.
Week 11 — Jordan Herrera, so., RB, Los Alamos: Herrera gained 122 yards and scored three touchdowns in a win over Miyamura.
