Volcano Vista, the two-time defending Class 5A boys state champion, crushed Santa Fe, 69-42, on Wednesday to advance to the semifinals of this year's state tournament.

The play of the game (arguably the play of the tournament) came late in the third quarter when David Lunn III, the Hawks' fantastic freshman, nearly jumped over a Demons defender to slam the ball in.

Check out this view of the ferocious dunk from Heather Brown, who was recording from just behind the Volcano Vista bench.

And here's the view from the broadcast cameras.

Lunn, a 6-foot-4 wing, scored 13 points in helping top-seeded Volcano Vista beat Santa Fe. The Hawks will play La Cueva on Thursday night at 8:15 in the Pit in the Class 5A state semifinals.
