Popular Bob's Week 7 NFL Forecast: Top teams clash on entertaining slate

Published Modified

Probably the most entertaining game of Week 7 will be Sunday afternoon when Washington faces host Dallas. It figures to be one of the highest-scoring games of the year. Tampa Bay's MNF game at Detroit won't be bad, either.

Here's a look at all the games:

THURSDAY

---> Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (2-4), 6:15 p.m.

Steelers -5.5 (44.5 O/U)

Forecast: Steelers 27, Bengals 19

Cincinnati didn't show much with new QB Joe Flacco last week, although he threw two TD passes in a loss at Green Bay. Pittsburgh has won three straight in Cincinnati.

SUNDAY

---> LA Rams (4-2) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2), 7:30 a.m., London

Rams -3 (44.5 O/U)

Forecast: Jaguars 24, Rams 20

This will be the 42nd game in London and only the second involving two teams with a winning record.

---> New Orleans Saints (1-5) at Chicago Bears (3-2), 11 a.m.

Bears -5 (47 O/U)

Forecast: Bears 24, Saints 13

The Saints' only victory was 26-14 vs. NYG thanks to their plus-5 turnover advantage. It will be hard to duplicate such a feat against Chicago, which is tied atop the league with a plus-8 margin.

---> Miami Dolphins (1-5) at Cleveland Browns (1-5), 11 a.m.

Browns -2,5 (39.5 O/U)

Forecast: Dolphins 20, Browns 17

The pressure will be on Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa to be productive after his three-INT game against the Chargers last week and then his post-game grumping about teammates.

---> New England Patriots (4-2) at Tennessee Titans (1-5), 11 a.m.

Patriots -7 (42 O/U)

Forecast: Patriots 27, Titans 17

The Titans, who fired coach Brian Callahan this week and replaced him with Mike McCoy, will be going against Patriots coach Mike Vrabel, who was fired by Tennessee two seasons ago. As an FYI, when a team plays its first game after a midseason coaching change it continues to lose, going 2-6 the past three seasons.

---> Las Vegas Raiders (2-4) at Kansas City Chiefs (3-3), 11 a.m.

Chiefs -12 (49.5 O/U)

Forecast: Chiefs 31, Raiders 22

KC is heaviest choice of the week. But it was a 13.5-point pick at Arrowhead last year against Vegas and escaped 19-17.

---> Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) at Minnesota Vikings (3-2), 11 a.m.

Eagles -1 (43.5 O/U)

Forecast: Eagles 29, Vikings 20

Philadelphia's play has been reminiscent of what happened in 2023, when it won 10 of its first 11 games before finishing 1-6. Philly should rebound against Vikings sack magnet Carson Wentz.

---> Carolina Panthers (3-3) at NY Jets (0-6), 11 a.m.

Panthers -2 (41.5 O/U)

Forecast: Panthers 27, Jets 16

Carolina has held its past two opponents, Miami and Dallas, to 19 and 31 yards rushing. This after finishing last in the league in 2024, yielding 179.8 a game.

---> NY Giants (2-4) at Denver Broncos (4-2), 11 a.m.

Broncos 6.5 (40.5 O/U)

Forecast: Broncos 28, Giants 10

Giants QB Jaxson Dart had better be mega-alert against Denver, which had nine sacks last week in stifling NYJ.

---> Indianapolis Colts (5-1) at LA Chargers (4-2), 2:05 p.m.

Chargers -1.5 (48 O/U)

Forecast: Chargers 27, Colts 23

The Colts were one of eight triple-digit preseason long shots to win the Super Bowl with a 100-1 listing. Indy now is 17-1; the seven others are still triple digits. ... Indy's sole loss occurred on a trip to LA in Week 4 against the Rams.

---> Washington Commanders (3-3) at Dallas Cowboys (2-3-1), 2:25 p.m.

Commanders -1 (54.5 O/U)

Forecast: Commanders 35, Cowboys 28

The O/U total is tied for the highest of the season. Dallas, which has the worst-ranked defense, allowed ex-Cowboy Rico Dowdle of Carolina to run for 183 yards last week.

---> Green Bay Packers (3-1-1) at Arizona Cardinals (2-4), 2:25 p.m.

Packers -6.5 (44 O/U)

Forecast: Packers 31, Cardinals 21

---> Atlanta Falcons (3-2) at San Francisco 49ers (4-2), 6:20 p.m.

49ers -2 (47 O/U)

Forecast: 49ers 28, Falcons 21

Atlanta's journey to the West Coast marks the only time this season an Eastern team will travel to play three time zones away on a short week.

MONDAY

---> Tampa Bay Bucs (5-1) at Detroit Lions (4-2), 5 p.m.

Lions -5.5 (52.5 O/U)

Forecast: Bucs 27, Lions 24

The only blemish on Detroit's 12-1 start last season was a 20-16 home loss to the Bucs despite running 83 plays to TB's 37.

---> Houston Texans (2-3) at Seattle Seahawks (4-2), 8 p.m.

Seahawks -3 (43.5 O/U)

Forecast: Texans 30, Seahawks 24

RECORDS

Last week's forecast results: 9-6 ATS/11-4 straight up

Season total: 46-43 ATS/47-32-1 SU
