New Mexico (3-2, 0-1) vs. Boise State (3-2, 1-0), 7:45 p.m. Saturday at Albertsons Stadium — otherwise known as ‘The Blue’ for the program’s iconic blue turf — in Boise, Idaho.

Broadcast: FS1 will carry UNM-BSU with Noah Reed (play-by-play) and Robert Smith (analyst) on the call. Robert Portnoy (play-by-play) and DonTrell Moore (analyst) will also broadcast the game via radio on the Lobo Radio Network (770 AM/96.3 FM).

Line: Boise State is a 16.5-point favorite, per ESPN BET. The total is set at 59.5 points.

The Lobos will be down three starters heading into a key conference matchup.

New Mexico cornerback Abraham Williams, wide receiver Michael Buckley and linebacker Dimitri Johnson will be out Saturday against Boise State, per an availability report released by the Mountain West on Thursday.

All three left a 35-28 loss to San Jose State last Friday with undisclosed injuries. When asked about them Tuesday, head coach Jason Eck indicated it was unclear whether Williams, Buckley and Johnson would miss time or not.

“We’re still waiting on a few guys. I think we’ll know more Thursday, when the availability report comes out,” he said in the Tuesday news conference. “We got a few guys who are nicked up, who might be limited today.”

A second report will be released three hours before Saturday’s game. All Mountain West teams are required to submit availability reports with injury specifics prior to each league contest. This is the conference’s first season with this rule in place.

An Idaho transfer, Williams has made 15 total tackles and defended three passes in five starts this season. The 6-foot-1, 186-pound senior Idaho transfer is one of the Lobos’ primary kick returners, with six kicks for 96 yards. He was named preseason All-Mountain West as a returner in July.

Buckley has caught six passes for 76 yards over 248 offensive snaps — the most of any UNM receiver — in his first season as a regular starter. The 6-0, 176-pound redshirt junior is also listed on UNM’s most recent two-deep as the backup kick returner behind fellow receiver Shawn Miller.

Johnson has made 14 total tackles this season. The 6-1, 235-pound fifth-year senior is listed as a co-starter on the two-deep with safety David Murphy. After leaving the San Jose State game with an apparent injury, Murphy was observed practicing this week and has no designation on the availability report.
