Departures (16) 

TE Dorian Thomas 

Summary: The 6-foot-4, 239-pound redshirt sophomore earned first team All-Mountain West honors after catching 56 passes for 560 yards and four touchdowns this season. He has two years of eligibility remaining. 

Update: Thomas committed to California on Jan. 7. 

RB D.J. McKinney

Summary: The 5-foot-8, 182-pound sophomore rushed for 464 yards and seven touchdowns this season with UNM. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Update: McKinney committed to Tulsa on Jan. 6. 

LS Trey DuBuc

Summary: The 6-1, 209-pound redshirt sophomore appeared in every game this season as UNM's starting long snapper. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Update: DuBuc committed to Texas on Jan. 4.

QB Cole Welliver 

Summary: The 6-7, 224-pound redshirt freshman appeared in one game for UNM this season. He has three years of eligibility remaining. 

Update: Welliver is committed to Southeastern Louisiana, per 24/7 Sports. 

TE Marcus Vinson 

Summary: The 6-4, 247-pound senior appeared in one game for UNM this season. He has one year of eligibility remaining. 

Update: Vinson signed with Florida Atlantic on Jan. 14. 

P Daniel Hughes 

Summary: The 6-foot-5, 235-pound sophomore earned an All-Mountain West honorable mention after averaging 45.4 yards per punt in 12 games for UNM this season. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Update: Hughes committed to Florida State on Jan. 9. 

OL Travis Gray 

Summary: The 6-6, 321-pound redshirt junior did not appear in a game for UNM this season. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Update: Gray committed to Tennessee-Martin on Jan. 12. 

OL Jordan Mora 

Summary: The 6-5, 311-pound sophomore did not appear in a game for UNM this season. He has three years of eligibility remaining. 

Update: Mora committed to Midwestern State University on Jan. 18. 

DE Landon Williams

Summary: The 6-4, 236-pound redshirt junior, made five total tackles in seven games this season. The Albuquerque native and La Cueva High School graduate has one year of eligibility remaining.

Update: Williams committed to Stephen F. Austin University on Jan. 6. 

S Clint Stephens 

Summary: The 6-1, 203-pound redshirt junior made four tackles and one sack in six games with UNM this season. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

TE Aiden Valdez 

Summary: The 6-4, 242-pound junior appeared in four games for UNM this season, making one reception for a loss of 3 yards. A Campbell transfer, he has two years of eligibility remaining after redshirting this year.

LB Randolph Kpai 

Summary: The 6-2, 219-pound redshirt senior made 10 total tackles in 12 games this season, playing primarily on special teams. He has no eligibility left, and would need a waiver to transfer and play another year. 

DL Max Lantzsch 

Summary: The 6-6, 263-pound redshirt junior did not appear in a game for UNM this season. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

WR Isaiah Blair 

Summary: The 5-11, 194-pound junior appeared in eight games this season, but did not record a catch. He has one year of eligibility remaining. 

QB Isaiah Chavez

Summary: The 6-0, 208-pound redshirt senior did not play this season after stepping away from the program in April. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

LB Mihalis Santorineos

Summary: The 6-2, 243-pound senior did not play this season after stepping away from the program after spring practice.

TE Joey Olsen 

Summary: The 6-5, 250-pound redshirt freshman appeared in two games over the last two seasons with Southern California. A former four-star recruit, he has three years of eligibility remaining.

LB Clay Martineau 

Summary: The 6-foot-3, 227-pound sophomore appeared in 17 games with the Broncos over the last two seasons. A former four-star prospect, he has three years of eligibility remaining. 

CB Ormanie Arnold 

Summary: The 5-9, 183-pound redshirt junior made 14 total tackles in 10 games this season with Cincinnati. A former three-star recruit, he has one year of eligibility remaining.

DL Deven Dyer 

Summary: The 6-3, 290-pound redshirt sophomore made 48 total tackles in 22 games with Western New Mexico over the last two seasons. A La Cueva High School graduate, he has two years of eligibility remaining.

DL Jalen Charles 

Summary: The 6-3, 227-pound redshirt freshman did not appear in a game with Memphis this season. A former three-star recruit, he has three years of eligibility remaining.

DB William Hicks 

Summary: The 6-2, 195-pound redshirt sophomore made 72 total tackles, four sacks and one interception with Division II Hampton University this season. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

DB Eric McClain 

Summary: The 6-0, 181-pound sophomore, made 28 total tackles, two interceptions and forced three fumbles in 12 games this season with Ball State. A former three-star recruit, he has two years of eligibility remaining.

RB Cameron Mathews 

Summary: The 5-8, 170-pound freshman appeared in one game with Memphis this season. A former three-star recruit, he has four years of eligibility remaining. 

TE Tripp Walsh 

Summary: The 6-6, 240-pound redshirt sophomore appeared in all 12 games this season with Iowa State, catching one pass for nine yards. He has two years of eligibility remaining. 

CB Kevin Longstreet 

Summary: The 5-9, 190-pound redshirt sophomore appeared in four games with Southern Cal this season, making four tackles. He has two years of eligibility remaining after previous stops at Texas A&M and Louisville. 

WR Miles Williams

Summary: The 6-0, 191-pound redshirt sophomore led Eastern Washington in receiving last season, making 41 catches for 524 yards and two touchdowns. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

OL Cole Millward

Summary: The 6-6, 275-pound redshirt sophomore did not allow over 12 games with Weber State last season and was the highest rated pass blocker on the team, per Pro Football Focus. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

RB Kiefer Sibley

Summary: The 5-9, 179-pound sophomore rushed for 274 yards and five touchdowns in eight games with North Texas last season. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

TE Bear Tenney

Summary: The 6-6, 269-pound freshman appeared in four games with Sacramento State last season, catching two passes for 40 yards and one touchdown. He has four years of eligibility remaining.

DB KJ Battle

Summary: The 6-1, 185-pound freshman made one tackle in four games with Towson University last season. He has four years of eligibility remaining.

K Nicholas Romero

Summary: The 5-9, 192-pound freshman made 13 of 14 attempted field goals last season with Wagner. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

K Konner Olson

Summary: The 6-0, 210-pound graduate student spent last season at Western Kentucky, where he did not attempt a field goal or point after attempt.

LS Lincoln Epstein

Summary: The 5-10, 230-pound redshirt freshman appeared in three games last season with Central Michigan. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

QB Jack Layne

Summary: The 6-2, 206-pound redshirt junior completed 199 of 302 passes for 2,398 yards, 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions for UNM this season; he also rushed for 150 yards and four touchdowns on 77 carries. Layne has one year of eligibility remaining. 

LB Jaxton Eck

Summary: The 6-1, 224-pound junior was named the Mountain West Co-Defensive Player of the Year after making 126 total tackles and 1.5 sacks. He has one year of eligibility remaining. 

OL Jaymar Tasi

Summary: The 6-foot-2, 308-pound freshman appeared in 10 games and finished the regular season as a starter. He has three years of eligibility remaining. 

DE Xavier Slayton

Summary: The 6-2, 243-pound redshirt junior made 20 total tackles, 1.5 sacks and one interception in 10 games. He has one year of eligibility remaining. 

DE Darren Agu

Summary: The 6-6, 244-pound redshirt junior made 24 total tackles and two sacks in 10 games. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

OL Kaden Robnett

Summary: The 6-2, 269-pound redshirt freshman started all 10 games at center and did not allow a sack over 424 pass protection snaps, per Pro Football Focus. 

S Austin Brawley

Summary: After missing eight games with an injury, the 5-10, 180-pound senior made 21 total tackles and three interceptions in UNM's final three games of the regular season. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

DL Brian Booker

Summary: The 6-3, 235-pound junior made eight total tackles and one sack in 11 games this season on his way to an All-Mountain West honorable mention. He has one year of eligibility remaining. 

DL Jalen McIver

Summary: The 6-4, 281-pound sophomore made 10 total tackles and 1.5 sacks in 11 games this season after joining the Lobos over the summer. He has two years of eligibility remaining. 

CB Frankie Edwards III

Summary: The 5-10, 174-pound sophomore made 47 total tackles in 12 games for UNM this season. He has two years of eligibility remaining. 

TE Cade Keith

Summary: The 6-5, 239-pound redshirt freshman caught 20 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns with UNM this season. He has three years of eligibility remaining. 

LB Mercury Swaim 

Summary: The 5-10, 213-pound redshirt junior made 52 total tackles and two sacks in 12 games for UNM this season. He has one year of eligibility remaining. 

RB Deshaun Buchanan 

Summary: The 5-9, 193-pound redshirt sophomore rushed for 14 yards and caught six passes for 56 yards with UNM this season. He has two years of eligibility remaining. 

S Chris Gant Jr. 

Summary: The 5-9, 199-pound redshirt freshman made four total tackles in 12 games with UNM this season. He has three years of eligibility remaining. 

CB C.J. McBean 

Summary: The 6-2, 194-pound freshman made 40 total tackles and one interception in 12 games this season. He has three years of eligibility. 

S Tavian Combs 

Summary: The 6-2, 196-pound redshirt senior made 71 total tackles and one interception in 13 games with UNM this season. He has one year of eligibility remaining. 

CB Abraham Williams 

Summary: The 6-1, 186-pound redshirt senior made 17 total tackles in seven games with UNM this season. He has one year of eligibility remaining. 

P Charles Steinkamp 

Summary: The 6-5, 211-pound redshirt junior served as UNM’s backup punter last season in addition to kicking off 26 times for 17 touchbacks. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
