David James Klaus It is with heavy hearts that we announce
David James Klaus It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Klaus, a long time resident of Albuquerque. David was born in Denver, graduated from Westminster High School, Bethany College, and later the University of New Mexico for graduate school. His career path was varied, having worked in trades, social services, teaching, horse wrangling, and owning his own sound engineering business. He found career fulfillment for the last few decades as a civil servant, working to design training programs for the military. David was an avid musician and loved to play bluegrass music with friends. He also participated in the local Mountain Man group and volunteered at El Rancho de las Golondrinas. David was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 36 years, Celia McCrossen-Klaus, and leaves behind his two daughters, Patricia Klaus and Jennifer Klaus Crysler, and a grandson, Timothy Klaus. A celebration of life gathering will be held on March 9th, 2025 from 2-5 at the Albuquerque Press Club. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends a donation to El Rancho de Las Golondrinas.
