🚧 Driver alert: Gas line work will affect Montgomery, Eubank intersection 🚧

NM Gas Co. has begun initial excavation of the site to deal with a leak

Some drivers could run into a bottleneck at one major Northeast Heights intersection in the coming days.

New Mexico Gas Co. advised Friday afternoon that a natural gas leak at Eubank and Montgomery was confirmed, necessitating repairs.

"NMGC crews have begun initial excavation to ensure the area is safe and to prepare for a contractor company that will make permanent repairs starting next week," a New Mexico Gas Co. spokesman said. "That work will likely take more than one week to complete."

For drivers, the work means two of the three lanes on eastbound Montgomery at Eubank are closed. Drivers will have to merge into a single lane just before Eubank.
